NCAA

The San Beda Red Lions notched their 12th win of this year's NCAA seniors basketball season by defeating the University of Perpetual Help Altas in overtime, 78-76, at the FilOil-Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Rome dela Rosa found Art dela Cruz underneath for an inside basket, :12.1 in the clock, for the game-winning bucket. At the other end, Juneric Baloria flubbed his three-point attempt which could have given his team the victory.

San Beda solidified its hold of the top spot in the standings, while Perpetual Help drops to 11-4.

The Lions started the contest red hot, scoring the game's first 12 points. They then led by 21 going into the final period before coach Aric del Rosario's wards fought their way back. With time winding down in regulation, Nosa Omorogbe swished a contested three-pointer from faraway to send the game into overtime.

In the first game, the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals made sure they are still in the hunt for a final four spot as they won their seventh in 14 contests courtesy of the Lyceum Pirates, 71-63. Just like the other ballgame, EAC seized control for majority of the match before LPU staged a comeback in the fourth period only to fall short in the end.

In juniors basketball, Immaculate Conception Academy beat Lyceum, 78-76, while the Red Cubs blasted UPHSD, 98-63.
